Lets start by the beginning. According to International Cooperative Alliance, 12% of the world's population is a cooperative member in one of the 3 million cooperative companies on the planet. But why are so many people part of this movement?
What is a Cooperative?
A cooperative can be understood as an organization made up of people (natural or legal) who come together voluntarily to meet their economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically managed company where each member counts as one vote.
In that sense, all members have the same voting rights, regardless of the capital they contribute to the company.
In addition, its management style is based on human values such as cooperation, solidarity, fairness, self-responsibility and others agreed internationally.

One of the greatest qualities of cooperatives is that, in addition, we promote education, training and information to all our members and interest groups, with the aim that they actively participate in the development of the cooperative itself and of the communities, creating sustainable businesses that generate long-term prosperity and employment.
