A story that supports us
We are a savings and credit cooperative that was born on August 22, 1971, as a result of the merger of two cooperatives from San Isidro de El General, Coopehosani and Coopezel, with a total of 1,175 associates.
This marked part of the destiny and attributes of Coopealianza, since it is currently the company that registers the largest number of mergers and takeovers in Costa Rican territory.
How are we going to celebrate these 52 years?

What motivates us to offer the best service?
The desire to have a high availability of the products and services offered, as well as being able to connect with the communities, has made Coopealianza now have 50 border-to-border offices, located in 34 cantons and in the 7 provinces of the country.
Our wide territorial coverage allows us to offer associates and clients, presence and availability of the service and financial product, complementing ourselves with the wide range of digital platforms.
Through the different platforms we seek that associates can use the products and services from any place where they have internet access and a mobile device.
Definitively, Coopealianza is today a cooperative with national coverage and through its technological accessibility it manages to transcend other borders.
What is our success as a cooperative due to?
The good results in the management of the cooperative are evidenced within its position in the National Financial System and within the Latin American cooperative movement.
In this sense, Coopealianza ranks among the first places of Savings and Credit Cooperatives in the country and in position number 12 in the study of Savings and Credit Cooperatives in Latin America and the Caribbean, prepared by the German Confederation of Cooperatives ( DGRV), in which the 1,000 largest cooperatives in Latin America are analyzed.
The successes achieved are not the result of chance, but rather the combination of different elements, such as good corporate governance, strategic planning, teamwork, a clear vision of growth and clear goals-oriented goals.
