Development Banking credits for the benefit of companies

Recently, the Development Banking System (SBD) and Coopealianza they signed a new agreement, through which the cooperative will receive ¢11 billion to continue promoting productive initiatives, through loans with excellent conditions to companies throughout the country.

In this way, the SBD resources for Coopealianza are expanded, after the cooperative placed, under the figure of financial operator of the Development Banking System, credits to finance productive projects, entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized companies.

In fact, Coopealianza has been a financial operator for more than 14 years. “We at Coopealianza, in these almost 15 years of sustaining our strategic relationship with the Development Banking System, are not very pleased because we have contributed to the financing of microenterprises. Even 80% of our financing has been concentrated in microenterprises with up to 5 people working; this undoubtedly boosts an economy, especially outside the Greater Metropolitan Area”, explained Francisco Montoya, General Manager of Coopealianza.

Precisely, taking advantage of the vast network of 50 agencies that Coopealianza has throughout the country, the Development Banking System provides resources quickly and at a low interest rate for initiatives that contribute to job creation and economic recovery, especially after the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For us, the SBD has allowed many micro, medium and small businesses to have a form of financing at really good rates; and above all with the possibility that, if your business continues to grow, you can continue using Development Banking resources as credit, as we grant them”, Francisco Montoya specified.

According to the Law, the Development Banking System is a mechanism to finance and promote viable productive projects of the beneficiary subjects, in order to support their financial inclusion and social mobility.
